A Procession of Other Collective Stigmas
November 11, 2019
Crystals are a sacredphrenic’s best friend. 🌈
This magnificent specimen was unearthed and gifted to me by my dear friend, the lovely Livy Durgan, on 11/11 of all days, following our 11:11 themed hike and ceremony.
Livin in the spiritual gangsta’s paradise…. 😎
It’s funny, I’ve inwardly transmuted much of the stigma surrounding “schizophrenia” only to find it succeeded by a procession of other collective stigmas, condemnations, and vilifications.
Such as the stigma of being New Age, an admittedly broad term used to describe a wide range of spiritual and social movements, but one that, levied against you, seems to instantly disqualify you from many “official” academic/intellectual discussions.
Go ahead, attend a dinner party with the heavyweights at Oxford and see what happens when you start talking about how crystals make you feel good. Or the numerological significance of 11:11. Or how Marianne Williamson was the most sensible person on that debate stage. Or how we live in a fundamentally ensouled universe.
As a Mental Health Metamorphosis Coach, I operate squarely within the confines of the New Age paradigm and have zero qualms. “Alternative” medicine and the New Age movement saved me from a debilitating condition that destroys most who experience it.
So, no offense to anyone operating from a staunch Cartesian-materialist perspective, but the laugh is really on the crystal critics for failing to recognize how dismal and destructive their worldview really is, responsible for the havoc currently being wreaked in our biosphere (can you say “sixth mass extinction?”)
Crystals? Yes, please. I’ll take a truck full each morning.
Celery juice? Sure, can I get it in IV form?
Telepathically communing with ascended masters in an enchanted forest at the foot of Mt. Shasta? You know I’m all bout dat.
Stay magickal, folks. It assists the healing process like you wouldn’t believe. ✨
